Music, Food & Fun at the Gambit!

Keep in tune with Cache River Nature Fest as the festivities continue into the evening! Join us for an evening of dinner and music at the Social, part of our Cache River Nature Fest, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A buffet dinner and refreshments will be provided by Connie’s at The Gambit. Tickets are $12 per person and may be purchased during the day at Cache River Nature Fest or at The Gambit. Individuals are also welcome to order off the menu and a cash bar is also available.

The Social will feature live acoustic bluegrass music from a southern Illinois favorite, “The Rural Kings.” The Rural Kings are a local quintet featuring a mix of bluegrass, originals, swing, and Americana material, as well as lead vocals from all members of the band. The Rural Kings’ members are no strangers to the Southern Illinois music scene and collectively have played with Etherton Switch, Shady Mix, The Woodbox Gang, and the Giant City Slickers, among other bands. Music starts at 6:00pm and ends at 8:00pm. There is no cover charge!

During the Social, there will be a 50/50 drawing and silent auction. Donors such as the Cache River Winery Basin, White Crane Canoe Rentals, and Lincoln Heritage Winery, in addition to many others, will be contributing items so don’t miss out! The drawing and auction will start at 5:00pm. Winners will be announced at 7:00pm during the band’s break. Proceeds from these events provide financial support for the protection and restoration of the Cache River wetlands.
